This Privacy Policy explains how The Usual ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit drinktheusual.com, order from us on our website or on WhatsApp, or contact us. By using our website or ordering from us, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

Your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
Your order details, such as the products you bought, order amounts and delivery notes.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp, Instagram, by email or through our website.

Information collected automatically: when you visit our website, we and our partners use cookies and similar tools to collect information such as your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, the pages you view, the products you add to your cart, and how you arrived at our site (for example, from an ad).

We do not collect or store any card or bank details. All our orders are paid in cash on delivery.

2. How we use your information

To process, confirm and deliver your orders, including calling or messaging you about your delivery.
To answer your questions and handle any problems with your order.
To send you offers and news by WhatsApp or email, if you have ordered from us or agreed to receive them. You can stop these at any time (see section 5).
To understand how people use our website and to improve it.
To show you relevant ads on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Google, and to measure how well our ads work.
To prevent fraud and fake orders, and to meet our legal obligations.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted partners who help us run our business:

Shopify, which hosts our online store and stores order information. You can read Shopify's privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Delivery partners and drivers, who receive your name, phone number and address so they can deliver your order.
Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and Google, for messaging, advertising and website analytics. These companies may use cookies and similar technology to collect information about your visit.
Service providers that help us run our website, measure our ads and send messages (for example, tracking and analytics tools).
Authorities, when we are required to by law.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files saved on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how our website is used, and show you relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website (like the cart) may not work properly without them.

5. Marketing messages

If you no longer want to receive offers from us, reply "STOP" to any of our WhatsApp messages, click "unsubscribe" in any of our emails, or contact us. We will still send you messages about orders you place.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you, handle returns and questions, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and only give access to people who need it to do their job. However, no website or online service is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee complete security.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

tell you what personal information we hold about you,
correct information that is wrong or out of date,
delete your information (unless we need to keep it by law), or
stop using your information for marketing.

To make a request, email hi@drinktheusual.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We handle personal information in line with applicable Lebanese law, including Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data.

9. Where your information is stored

Some of our partners, such as Shopify, Meta and Google, store information on servers outside Lebanon. By using our website or ordering from us, you understand that your information may be transferred and stored outside Lebanon.

10. Children

Our website is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
